PwC Elevate is a 2 day leadership program held during the summer for high caliber sophomores and juniors (in a 5 year program) interested in pursuing careers in accounting. During Elevate, students will engage in personal and professional discovery alongside our partners and staff. Program attendees have high potential of receiving 2018 internship offers. The Moss Adams Ignite Diversity Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship that is presented to 14 outstanding diverse freshman and sophomore accounting students with a GPA of a 3.0 or higher. These students have approximately 3 or 4 years remaining in coursework and are pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree with CPA eligibility. This scholarship opportunity is for students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, women, LGBT individuals, military veterans, and people with disabilities. The Moss Adams Summer Leadership Program is divided into a national program (Navigate Your Career-NYC) and regional programs (Roadmap to Success-RTS). This gives students the opportunity to learn more about the firm the year before they would start an internship. The national program will be held in Huntington Beach, California June 27th-29th. The regional program dates will vary based on the office location. NYC and SLP are for outstanding accounting students with a GPA of a 3.0 or higher. The students must be pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree with CPA eligibility between December 2018 and August 2019. Application instructions can be found HERE.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a national IRS program that provides free tax return preparation to low-income, elderly, limited English proficient, and disabled individuals.The SFSU VITA program is one of the largest volunteer programs at San Francisco State University, and one of the largest VITA sites in California, with the assistance of approximately 200 IRS-certified, SFSU student volunteers every tax season.
